-Independent Session Drummer -

How can I help?

Doing session work, both live and as a studio drummer, I'm trying to provide the best I can do for the song and the song only.
- Unless something else is asked for -

For studio work, I normally deliver three takes of each song,
unless I'm asked to replicate the drum parts just the way they are played/programmed on the demo tape.
I like to do one take the way I think it should sound like,
one take like the customer ask for
and one take with a little extra for the customer to choose from.
That can be extra cymbal hits, various fills a.o.

As a bonus I normally offer percussion for the tracks, if I feel it should be percussion on it.
These percussion tracks usually consists of tambourine, shaker, cowbell, triangel, guiro, congas and bongos.

For both drumset and percussion I have a lot of pro instruments to choose from,
and I always try to match the genres I'm in after what the song or the producer/client asks for.
Just ask and I'll do my best to find the sounds you're looking for.

All tracks are recorded with industri standard audio gear,

including microphones, preamps and audio interfaces.

I put my heart into quick and easy communication
and quick delivery time for your track(-s).

And I ain't finished before you are satisfied.

Bio

Born in 1972 and raised in Steinkjer, Norway.

Started playing snare drum for the local school’s marching band at age 10.
Got my first drum kit at 12 and joined my first Top 40 band three years later,
doing hundreds of gigs the next couple of years.
Besides Top 40 gigs, the years that followed included backing local choirs, teaching younger drummers and joining other bands doing a wide variety of musical styles.

Did one year at Nordic Institute for Scene & Studio (NISS) in Oslo ’95/’96.
That year I studied under several of Norway’s top drummers in both the jazz scene and the pop/rock scene.
The next ten years living in Oslo, I was drumming for several jazz bands, pop bands, reggae bands and got more and more into The Blues before moving to Bergen where he lived for three years, joining one of Norway’s finest blues bands as sub drummer for six months. Doing mainly blues gigs living in Bergen, I took the blues and my drums and moved to Hamar where he joined another bluesband.
With that band I was backing blues greats like Lazy Lester, James Harman, RJ Mischo a.o. on tours all over Norway, plus playing gigs in Sweden, Denmark and Poland as well.
After three years in Hamar, I moved back to Oslo joining another bluesband touring Norway for three years.
After getting my own little family, I moved back to my hometown in 2014, drumming in all kinds of genres at all main local festivals, clubs and other venues, and still do ’til this day. During the covid years I got my own drum recording studio up and running and besides recording for other artists, both local, nationally and abroad, I released my first music under my own name and forming my own band.
